Farmers were now the decision makers without any outside support, that psychological shift created one of the most successful system in rural india.

Building a model based on trust

Verghese Kurien and Tribhuvandas Patel introduced an idea that challenged the traditional business systems. They placed direct ownership in the hands of farmers. And this cooperative structure lately evolved into Amul.

The real achievement was larger than business success, this cooperative model rebuilt confidence in the rural communities , farmers slowly developed their financial stability , stronger local participation and faith in their collective future.
